5 phyto-extracts titrated in their active principles

Garcinia Cambogia
Garcinia Cambogia (Garcinia cambogia)
Dry extract of garcinia cambogia titrated in hydroxycitric acid at 50%

Garcinia Cambogia is a small exotic fruit that can be cultivated only in specific countries such as India and Pakistan. Its beneficial and slimming properties derive from the active principle contained in its peel: HYDROXYCITRIC acid. Hydroxycitric acid inhibits the action of the citrate synthase enzyme which transforms the sugars in excess into fats. It also induces the hepatic synthesis of glycogen (sugar reserve for muscles and liver), thus increasing the reserve of this sugar in liver; the brain is then informed and decides to inhibit the hypothalamic nucleus regulating the hunger stimulus as it deems unnecessary to ingest more food. These waterfall-effect processes make it ideal for use in diets and to keep under control cholesterol and triglycerides levels. In fact, the hydroxicitric acid action prevents from transforming sugars in fats, converting them instead directly into energy and offering a sense of repletion.

Green Tea
Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Dry extract of green tea titrated in polyphenols at 15%

Green tea is a type of tea made exclusively with leaves of Camellia sinensis which should not undergo any kind of oxidation during processing. Original from China, it has been consumed for centuries in various Asian regions, from Japan to the Middle East. It spread to the Western countries only in recent times. Green tea features thermogenic properties and promotes the oxidation of fats in a greater way than the one caused by its content in caffeine. Such effects are in fact imputable to catechins which stimulate the metabolism acceleration, thus eliminating adipocytes in excess. This action, along with inhibition of the pancreatic lipase (the pancreatic enzyme which digests fats) explains the hypotriglyceridemizing effect (reduced level of circulating hematic triglycerides).

Green Coffee
Green Coffee (Coffea Arabica)
Dry extract of green coffee titrated in chlorogenic acid at 10%

Although coffee has been long renown as a drink, extracts of coffee seeds have been developed only recently with a specific profile for standardization of the phytocomplex exalting the concentration of polyphenols, specifically chlorogenic acid. Chlorogenic acid is one of the most important polyphenolic compounds contained in green coffee, which however is lost during grain roasting to obtain coffee powder for drink consumption. The extract of chlorogenic acid, highly concentrated in green coffee grains, increases the metabolism, enhancing the reduction of body fat and maintaining a balanced level of sugar in blood. Finally, it has also proven to be a powerful anti-oxidant against free radicals. Its slimming action is the result of the suppression of a liver enzyme which slows downs the release of glucose in blood, so when the body lacks a sufficient quantity of blood glucose, it starts converting the stored adipose fat into usable energy instead of glucose. This stored fat-energy conversion increases the metabolism together with fat combustion, thus reducing weight and varicose veins.

Grapefruit
Grapefruit seeds (Citrus paradisi)
Extract of grapefruit seeds titrated in bioflavonoids at 50%

This fruit is a true panacea for the entire organism. Its vitamins A, B and C along with the anti-oxidants it contains, make it an excellent supplement for the liver, it prevents cardiovascular diseases, disinfects the digestive system and it is also rich of calcium, magnesium, sulphur, sodium, iron, copper, chlorine and phosphor. The seed extract contains bioflavonoids which represent one of the compound classes typical of superior plants. More specifically, Hesperidin, a great alley to fight cell aging, is an antioxidant, part of the bioflavonoid family, very important for body health and beauty. Hesperidin can in fact reduce the intensity of cutaneous hyperpigmentation, improve the biomechanical properties of the skin and accelerate epidermic turnover, thus enhancing skin luminosity. An increase of collagen, glycosaminoglycans and hyaluronic acid has also been proved on a derma level, which as a consequence increases skin hydration and elasticity. This is essential for toning the skin when losing weight.

Phaseolamin
Phaseolamin (Phase 2®)
Phaseolamin white bean proteins (Phaseulus vulgaris)

Phaseolamin is a glycoprotein extracted from the white bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). Widespread in the dietary supplement sector, it behaves like a selective inhibitor of alpha-amylases, pancreatic enzymes for starch digestion. In normal diets this complex carbohydrate satisfies approx. 40% of the caloric need, as it is contained in pasta, bread, cereals in general, but also in potatoes and baked products. Phaseolamin slows down the absorption of starch, thus promoting the loss of weight. Phase 2® is the trademark of an entirely natural white bean extract. It is the first “carbohydrate blocker” clinically proven for the reduction of carbohydrate absorption. Specifically, it reduces the caloric impact of starch, thus reducing the glycemic index. Phase 2® helps to keep body weight and the level of blood sugar under control. Phase 2® has been the object of various clinic studies which have proven its tolerability and activity. In 2006 the American FDA (Food and drug administration) confirmed that “it can reduce the enzymatic digestion of foods containing starch” and authorized the claim.

This is what its pleasant taste derives from

Apple Juice (Malus domestica)

From a nutritional standpoint, apple juice is rich of flavonoids, pectin, citric acid, malic acid, water, proteins, simple sugars such as fructose, mineral salts, including boron, which is essential for healthy bones, and vitamins A, C, PP, B1 and B2. Apple juice is rich of vitamins from the B group, just like apples themselves, and for such reason it reduces the level of stress and reinforces the immune defenses.

Lemon Juice (Citrus limon)

Enhances the equilibrium of body weight. Drinking water and lemon can stimulate weight loss. Lemons are rich of pectin, a fiber which contributes in contrasting sudden hunger.

Agave Syrup

A natural sweetener obtained from the Mexican blue agave. It is taste-free and sweetens 25% more than white sugar; specifically recommended for diabetics for its very low glycemic index.

Raspberry Juice (Rubus idaeus)

Raspberry is a diuretic fruit, depurative for the organism, refreshing, it contributes in reinforcing the immune defenses and it is also energetic; its low percentage of sugars makes raspberry a fruit “authorized” for diabetics.

Stevia Rebaudiana

Stevia is used as sweetener as it is much sweeter than common saccharose. Its active principles are stevioside and rebaudioside A, which are present in every part of the plant, but with a higher percentage and more concentrated in the leaves: when dried (dehydrated), their sweetening power (an effect consequence of mixing the two sweetening components) is from 150 to 250 times higher than common sugar, but totally free of calories.
