Optimax Drena Cell
OptiMax® DRENA CELL performs a TRIPLE ACTION:
1. CONTRAST OF THE IMPERFECTIONS OF CELLULITE - Centella and Pineapple
2. FLUIDS DRAINING – Birch, Golden Rod, Horsetail
3. MICROCIRCULATION FUNCTIONS – Red Vine
CELLULITE COUNTERACTING
Cellulite is a typically female disorder, consisting of a degenerative condition involving the adipose tissue, connective tissue, blood and lymph vessels, which leads to the formation of 'orange peel' skin with the much detested unsightly pads. If the blood and lymphatic circulation is insufficient or not functioning properly, the fat cells suffer and tend to break down; their contents spill out into the space between the cells drawing more water, compressing the microcirculation and preventing it from functioning properly, increasing inflammation.
FLUID DRAINAGE
Water retention is defined as a condition in which the body has a tendency to retain and accumulate fluid. A poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle, stress, hormonal imbalances, weight gain and cellulite can all contribute to a situation of retention, leading to the appearance of oedemas, which make the skin less toned and compact, and of course also to a widespread feeling of bloating, felt most strongly in the abdomen and legs.
MICROCIRCULATION FUNCTIONS
The microcirculation is an extremely important part of the human body's blood circulation. It is made up of a dense network of small vessels that branch out in every region of the body and have the important task of bringing nourishment and oxygen to the cells and transporting waste out of the cells, in close cooperation with the lymphatic system. A malfunctioning of both these systems inevitably affects the cells' health, risking leading to situations of stagnation of liquids, up to inflammatory states which then result in the appearance of cellulite.
Centella (Centella asiatica (L.) Urb.)
Dry extract of Centella titrated 3% in terpenesHerbaceous perennial plant, belonging to the Apiaceae family and widespread in the humid tropical and subtropical regions of India and South America. Widely used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine.
Parts used: The aerial part of the plant, which is rich in functional principles such as triterpenes and derivatives, tannins and flavonoids, is used.
Properties: the trophic-healing and vasotonic action is mainly due to compounds of a terpenic nature, particularly asiaticoside; by promoting the use of amino acids that make up the connective tissues (proline, hydroxyproline, alanine) it acts by strengthening the walls of the vascular endothelium, providing a beneficial action on the microcirculation.
Indications: Thanks to these properties, it is used to treat cellulite, an unsightly condition caused by inefficient microcirculation.
Ananas (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr)
Dry extract of Pineapple titrated 0,3% in bromelainThis plant belongs to the Bromeliaceae family and is native to South America. Its fruits, characterised by their yellow flesh, are particularly rich in minerals and vitamins.
Parts used: In phytotherapy, the fruit is used, in particular the stem, which is rich in bromelain, useful for aiding digestive processes and improving 'orange peel' cellulite.
Properties: bromelain has a decongestant action that stimulates the drainage of fluids that tend to accumulate in an inflammatory state, and the reabsorption of oedemas.
Indications: Because of this property it is used in the treatment of inflammatory processes, especially in cases of oedema, cellulite, reduced skin trophism and venous insufficiency.
Birch (Betula pendula Roth)
Dry extract of Birch titrated 2,5% in hyperosideThe White Birch is a tree-like plant belonging to the Betulaceae family that can grow to a height of 30 metres. It is widespread throughout Atlantic Europe and Asia. In Italy it is particularly common in Piemonte and Lombardia.
Parts used: The leaves are used in phytotherapy for their diuretic and depurative properties.
Properties: The purifying action is supported by the diuretic action, which facilitates the elimination of water and excess substances accumulated in the body. These properties are mainly conferred by flavonoids, tannins, chlorogenic and caffeic acid.
Indications: useful for the drainage of excess fluid and proper functioning of the urinary tract, as well as for purifying the body.
Golden rod (Solidago virgaurea L.)
Dry extract of Golden Rod DER 4:1Perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. The name 'virgaurea' is derived from the flower spike which ends in a golden yellow colour.
Parts used: The leaves and flowering tops of the Golden Rod are used.
Properties: The properties of Golden Rod are diuretic, astringent, anti-inflammatory and decongestant. These actions are mainly carried out by saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, polysaccharides and tannins.
Indications: helps drain excess fluid and ensure proper functioning of the urinary tract. Used especially in the presence of water retention and cellulite.
Horsetail (Equisetum arvense L.)
Dry extract of Red Vine titrated 5% in polyphenolsIt is one of the oldest organisms on earth; the name 'equisetum' properly means 'horse's tail or horsehair', while the name 'arvense' denotes its presence in rural areas. It has been used for medicinal purposes since Roman and Greek antiquity.
Parts used: The aerial parts of the plant, which are rich in vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and tannins, are used.
Properties: its appreciable silica content, together with its mineral salts, makes it an excellent remineraliser, suitable for brittle nails and hair and for combating bone fragility. It is also diuretic, helping to eliminate excess body fluids and eliminate accumulated waste and toxins.
Indications: increases the elimination of water by the kidneys and contributes to the proper functioning of the urinary system.
Red vine (Vitis vinifera L.)
Dry extract of Red Vine titrated 5% in polyphenolsClimbing shrub belonging to the Vitaceae family, the Red Vine is a plant native to southern Europe and western Asia, now found on all continents except Antarctica.
Parts used: the leaves, fruits and seeds of this plant have active phytotherapeutic principles. In particular, the leaves are rich in polyphenols, which are useful for the health of the microcirculation.
Properties: the polyphenols contained in the leaves have a vasoprotective effect on the micro-vessels and reduce their permeability, thus preventing stagnation, which can develop into oedema and swelling, causing the typical feeling of heaviness.
Indications: useful for improving microcirculation and venous circulation, counteracting the feeling of heavy legs.
